01-23-10

We left the kids with some friends so that we could go up to Medford to get all the paperwork signed for the house. We are keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes well. Very stressful. (also pictured: James our Mortgage Broker)

I have started some sewing projects for the friends and a sister in law who are either expecting or have just had little ones. I enjoy sewing, I need to do it more often.

One of my goals for this year is to remain in control of the housework. Flylady.com has been a big help in helping me do this by using small steps. And look at my shiny sink!

Today they played happily in their rooms together. No fighting. Today was a good day.

Back to Medford today. Found a house that we liked and made an offer. Now we wait. I hate waiting.

Spent the day in Medford, house hunting again. Found a few, but we will need to come back on Monday. Hit Costco for lunch. Me and my boys.

I realized that I only had a handful of pictures of me in last years album. So I am going to try to take a few more this year.

So because Braydan has Karate on Mondays, we have FHE on Tuesdays. Tonight was a lesson on gratitude, and for our activity we wrote out our Thank you notes for Christmas. Oh, and ate brownies. :)

When it is nice out (which hasn't been very often) and after I pick up the kids from school we will stop at the field next tot he school and run Moe. Vann is like to try to through the ball using the thrower thingy. He cant do it, but he likes to try. Today, Moe didnt see him and when I threw the ball he totally took Vann out. Poor kid got the wind knocked out of him. Moe didn't even break stride.

My little doughnut boy. He is really into babies lately, much to Tes' delight, and he is really cute with them. He will give them love and kiss them, his favorite one is that little one in the picture.

(I know this kid needs a haircut, but I don know if I can. Its all curly in the back and so cute.)

Skype allows us to stay in touch with all of our family that lives far from us. Which, I guess means everyone. Kris and Lydia are living in New York for the next 3 years so this will be our main ways of being able to stay connected with them. (and pretty soon baby Alice.) I am so excited to be an Auntie! I really cant wait. I wish they were closer...but for now Skype will have to do.

Ok so...this is gross, but Vann plays with his poo. This picture was taken shortly after we discovered that he had "painted" Tes' room and bedding with the content of his diaper. He was even in a onesie and he was still able to get to the goods. Not sure how to handle this, hope he just grows out of it I guess.

I love Amazon. I used some of my Christmas money and got a few things that I had wanted for Christmas but didn't get. This was one of them. I also got a remote for my camera, a large shaker bottle and the newer Harry Potter movie.

(This is an awesome book, I have made a few of her recipes and they are super yummy)

Started to bring all of the Christmas things down. It always makes me a little sad. But it is nice to get a fresh start and gets me ready for spring cleaning.

This is a common sight in our house. Vann trying to get into the Bathroom. If he can manage it, he heads straight for the tooth brushes and tooth paste. He will turn on the sink and proceed to brush his teeth. Worst case scenario he will through your tooth brush and tooth paste into the toilet. Even worst case scenario, he will use the toilet water to brush his teeth. Who needs the trouble of climbing onto the sink and trying to turn it on when there is a bowl full of water at your level?

We cant seem to keep these in stock in our house. Everyone loves them especially Vann. He will just keep asking for them, or try to sneak them

School has started up again, the kids were not excited about that. (I am) But they were excited to come home and play on these. Tes is complaining because Braydan cut her off.

Mimi and Papa and the boys were out the door early today. But the kids were content to be lazy and play with some of their new Christmas toys. When Vann sees the Camera now he will smile at me and say "cheese". His vocabulary has really exploded. He even sings Jingle Bells. It is really amazing.

The Fiske side of the Family are really big into games, which can be really fun because they always have new and interesting games (some of which they brought with them). Sometimes I get gamed out but tonight everyone was going strong. Here was my view from the computer. They are playing Uno Flash. Loudly. :)

We actually made it until midnight last night. The first time in a few years. We played games and watched movies and ate the evil-devil Awesome Chocolate cake from Costco. The next day we hung out and ended up at Casa Ramos for lunch. Best Mexican food in town. Vann was so tired, it seems that as soon as he slows down enough to eat, he hits a wall and passes out.

We had a little Christmas with Mimi and Papa and the boys, which was really fun. The kids especially thought their roll-o-money was pretty cool. (They have already spent it)

We did end up with a little bit of snow before the New Year. Just enough for everyone to get in snow clothes and go sledding. The kids were so tired afterward. Especially Vann. Moe loved trying to catch the snowballs.

A bucket of crab. That is what Mimi and Papa brought with them from the Oregon coast. Very messy, but there is nothing like fresh, right out of the ocean crab.

Cars. The Man loves cars. Especially ones that are from the Pixar movie Cars. He usually always has a car with him and he will "drive" them up and on anything. Including us. :)

(I am starting my book on a Monday and ending on a Sunday. So that is why I have a few pictures from 2009.)

A new start....

Ok so I know that I got really really behind on this last year. It is not as though I didn't take the pictures everyday, I did. They were all organized in their own little folder, I just never posted them. So...here is to a fresh start. I am not going to try to play catch up, that is just to overwhelming. Now I decided to do this because, as much as I love to scrapbook, it is just so hard to find enough time to stay caught up. I am actually several years behind. So when I heard about this idea a light clicked for me. I could still have beautiful and creative scrapbooks in a fraction of the time. And I could stay caught up. And by taking a picture a day(or at least trying to) I am capturing the everyday things in my life. The things you don't really think to document. So...I print all of my pictures...all 365 of them and I put them to together and into a kit that I ordered. If any one else is interested in this method. Here is the kit website.
