{Jan 29th} Thursday Library Storytime, it was our first time going and it really was a good thing for Tes. I think we will make it a weekly thing. There are things for Vann to play on and with and Tes gets to listen to some books and then make a craft. Fun stuff. And they have the library closed, so that the kids and moms are the only ones in there. I really love that, don't have to worry about anyone creepy.
{Jan 28th} Wednesday Sometimes you just cant beat an ice cream cone. The kids get really bored when I need to run errands, so every once and a while we stop for a treat. And the kids love sneaking Vann a taste.
{Jan 27th} Tuesday Trying to finish up some old projects and start some new ones. I love knitting...but I need to get my sister Kelly to teach me how to crochet.
{Jan 25th} Sunday Had the best intentions to take a Valentines picture today. We were even going to go to the red bridge to take them after church. And of course we walk out of church and it has dropped about 5 degrees and it is snowing/raining. So I try to take them in the house. Ya, that didn't work. Hard to do it with a tripod and timer. I need you Julia! So here is one of the kids. Family ones just didn't turn out well.
{Jan 23} Friday An interesting experience today. We invited Braydan's little friend Takeo to come play after school today. His Dad didn't want to send him over having never met us so we decided to have his family come over to meet ours. So trying to be my Mothers daughter and be a good hostess. I made finger foods and drinks and had it all set out. Come to find out, that he never lets Takeo go anywhere on his own without him, his wife decided to go to Medford and get her nails done, and he has OCD and wouldnt touch any of the food or drinks I prepared. So much for trying to make a good impression. The kids had fun though playing Lego Star Wars and Tag, and I guess that is all that matters.
{Jan 21st} Wednesday Nothing like warm milk with cinnamon-sugar that you get to sprinkle yourselves, on a cold night, when you have sore throats and are looking stinkin cute in matching Super Mario jammies.
{Jan 2oth} Tuesday Our 44th president was sworn into office today, President Barack Obama. It is a piece of history that I am living through at the moment so I thought that I would include it. Even if it does make me a little nervous. (we have no cable so I watched some of it on the Tv at the gym and then at home on my computer...Picture is of a slideshow of 2009 Inauguration on my Computer)
{Jan 19th} Monday Family Movie night with popcorn and cookies, watching the Princess Bride. The kids love these nights, relaxing and just us being together. The blanket is one that I made a few years back out of all of our old jeans, it works well for picnics and such. It is fleece on the other side.
{Jan 17th} Saturday Dodgeball tournament in Etna. Nathan's team ended up not showing up and he jioned another, who ended up winning. So he got a Champions shirt.
{Jan 16th} Friday Homework is a daily occurrence for Braydan, but Tes loves to work out of the workbook Poppy and Marmie gave her. I cant believe that she will be in kindergarten next year. Braydan is doing really well in 1st grade and is a the top of his class. His work book is more challenging for him which he likes, since his homework is usually to easy.
{Jan 14th} WednesdayI first heard of this book from my good friend Julia, and I finally picked up a copy. I am now totally hooked on hiding veggies that my family would normally never eat, in their food. We have had sweet potatoes in our pancakes and lasagna. Spinach in our eggs. Butternut squash in our quesadillas and cauliflower in our mashed potatoes. All without a single complaint. Next up....Spinach brownies and sweet potato hot chocolate!
{Jan 13th} Tuesday I lost 73lbs through this program, it changed my life to finally get the weight off. I am now a certified Health coach through this program and I intend to help others change their lives.
{Jan 12th} Ok, well here is the man doing his favorite trick. This kid will take the stool and push it back and forth across the kitchen floor. It really is funny and he has gotten so good at maneuvering around anything and everything. This kid is going to be walking any minute. Other thing Vann does at 10.5 months. Opens every cupboard door he can. Loves the toilet. Finally got his other front tooth in. loves fruit and meat sticks and stuffing. still bald. said first word...dog. total mamas boy.loves a juice bottle.
{Jan 11th} A new calling at church...I am now the Valient 9 girls primary teacher. So today was my first Sunday, I made them chocolate dipped pretzels with sprinkles for a little treat, which they loved. I never realized just how chatty 9 year old girls really are. :)
{Jan 10th} Saturday snack time. Mini whole wheat bagels with cream cheese and a tangerine. (One of my New Years resolutions is to feed my kids healthier) They loved it, in fact that asked for it again for lunch.
{Jan 9th} Braydan is a reading fool. This kid can go through one of these magic tree house books in 1 day. He loves to read. Reminds me of me, I remember my mom getting upset with me because I had my nose in a book while I was trying to accomplish some job she had given me to do. That just happened last night with Braydan, and I paused and kinda laughed to myself. What a problem to have....gosh dang it that kid reads to much, darn books, we should punish him. :)
{Jan 8th} Two little stinkers. These 2 are home together while Braydan is at school and for the most part get along well, as long as Tes isn't smothering Vann. But she always shares with him, which he loves. And one of them is always hungry.
{Jan 7th} My little helper Tessiesue, she is little mama to Vann and always ready to help with any little jobs. Here she is putting away dishes from the dishwasher. Silly girl.
{Jan 6th} Loving this wrap that I got for Vann, I wish that I had found it sooner. It holds him nice a tight and I am completely hands free. And it very comfortable for me and for him. love it. Used it today when Tes and I walked to pick up Braydan from school and then again when we walked to the park. Its really a cool wrap.
{Jan 5} A fresh start. Too many holiday goodies and just plain laziness...leads to extra pounds. So I am off again, starting my program anew. Got to get back into those size 10s.
